"Tatran" Red Currant

Large clusters of small, translucent red berries with excellent, tart flavor. Much sweeter and less complex than black currants, but more tart than white currants. Great for snacking on, baking, or wine making. They hang on the bush for a long time, while getting sweeter and making for a great ornamental. Tidy bushing growth habit, prefers afternoon shade in hot areas. Loaded with vitamin C, K, manganese and potassium. Not to mention its immense antioxidant content.
