Flexible returns
A nearly thornless cross between black currant and gooseberry, Jostaberry offers the best of both worlds—rich, dark purple berries with a complex blend of black currant depth and gooseberry brightness. Larger than currants, smaller than gooseberries. Excellent fresh, in smoothies, or cooked into dense, dark jams. Extremely high in vitamin C—up to four times the amount in oranges—as well as manganese, potassium, and antioxidants. Highly resistant to mildew and rust. Vigorous bushes reach 5–6 feet tall and wide, preferring full sun to part shade. Self-fertile and easy to grow.
