Flexible returns
Jennybelle is a prolific and flavorful cultivar of Amelanchier alnifolia, producing dark purple berries that look like blueberries and taste like blueberries, mixed with blackberry and a little cherry and apple. The fruit is soft and sweet, excellent for fresh eating or pies, and exceptionally high in iron, manganese, calcium, and vitamin E. Juneberries are also loaded with anthocyanins and anti-inflammatory compounds, making them a top-tier native superfruit. Shrubs are low-maintenance and ornamental, with early white blooms and brilliant orange-red fall color. They get to be tall, up to 10ft, with exceptionally heavy yields. A great option for someone who is unable to grow blueberries in their area.
