"Hardy Red" Hardy Kiwi (Female)

A visually stunning hardy kiwi variety with red-blushed skins and vibrant green-red marbled flesh. Berries are small but sweet, with a unique fruity flavor reminiscent of cherry, strawberry or cranberry and kiwi combined, which other red varieties like 'Kens Red' do not have. Rich in vitamin C, copper, and serotonin precursors, these little fruits may help improve mood and energy. Heavy yielder when paired with a compatible male like 'Clark.' Flowers in May/June, vine has gorgeous red stems attached to emerald green leaves, an ornamental winner. Hardy to zone 5. Requires something to climb and plenty of sun. Vines can grow over 20 feet in a season.
