"American Black" Elderberry

The American Black Elderberry is native to this area, making it great for low maintenance, trouble-free in ground fall planting. Will grow up to 12 feet tall, and produce many pounds of glossy, deep-purple berries every year along with beautiful umbal flowers. Humongous antioxidant/medicinal value, consumed as supplements for fighting disease, gaining popularity with the masses in 2019. Also great for birds and wildlife, proud tall bushes become a habitat and feed birds. Thrives in clay, often found along riverbanks and edges of forests.
