"Issai" Hardy Kiwi (Female)

Beautiful, corkscrew vines produce an exceptionally sweet, fuzzless, grape-sized kiwi berry which has over 8x the vitamin C that an orange does, is sweeter than a regular kiwi, and best of all… has edible skin! Expect fruit on its 3rd year, and up to 50lbs on its 5th year. Goes dormant in winter but vines remain alive to bud out year after year. Issai has been rumored to be the first self-pollinating kiwiberry, but in fact needs a male to set fruit.

Maintenance: vine requires some structure or staking, like a fence or archway.
