Flamingo produces soft, pastel pink strawberries with floral, aromatic sweetness and refreshing acidity. Said to be tastier than pineberries or even wild alpine varieties like Yellow Wonder, although we disagree with that last one. While the berries are smaller and more delicate than commercial reds, they offer unique charm and are ideal for fresh eating or fancy plating. Despite small size, yields are still good at roughly 1/2lb per square foot. Plants have lush foliage and soft pink blooms that contribute ornamental appeal throughout the season. As with all strawberries, Flamingo fruits are packed with vitamin C, manganese, and anti-inflammatory compounds that support vascular and skin health.
